‘Special TON’: Deepti Sharma becomes first Indian to take 100 T20I wickets

Deepti achieved the feat during India’s second group match against West Indies at the Women’s T20 World Cup in Cape Town. Deepti reached the 100-wicket milestone in the last over of the West Indies innings when she bamboozled Aly Fletcher (0). The 24-year-old returned impressive figures of 3 for 15 as she helped India restrict West Indies Women to a below-par 118 for 6. Her other two scalps in the match included Stafanie Taylor (42) and Shemaine Campbelle (30).
